On initiative of World Freight
Singapore the owners of eleven private forwarding companies met in April 1992
with the intention to set up a logistic-group.
At this first conference that took also place in Singapore following countries
were represented:
U.S.A., Canada, Spain, Germany, Hongkong, Taiwan, Rep. Korea,
Philippines, Singapore and New Zealand.
Representatives of airlines, shipping lines and global transport-insurance
Co.s attented the meeting as guestspeakers!
At the third day of the meeting the local technical press was informed that a new international group of forwarders, the WORLD FREIGHT GROUP OF COMPANIES, has started to install a worldwide covering logistic-network with the commitment to provide a very specialized service to customers over and above the conventional services.
Only solvent and owners-managed forwarding- and logistic companies which fulfill the high-quality-level can become a member upon a careful examination has been taken.
Today the now simply named WORLD FREIGHT GROUP -the name was shortened 1995 - has got over 180 bases, some already ISO 9002-certified, and thus have rised to the so-called "Global Players". However, with the big advantage of a far more flexible, more powerful and, above all, an independent and free of multicorporates, individual partnership.
The large number of worldwide contented customers speaks for the high quality of our logistic products!
